Except for the part about where he says the Padres shouldn’t trade Jake, everything he wrote makes it pretty clear that they SHOULD trade him, and do it yesterday.

Haha, too bad we can’t apply that plugin as a feature of Firefox itself, so instead Padres fans read “experts” like Canepa, and buy into it.

It isn’t about trying to be right all the time, because I’m not right about everything and no columnist could be either. It’s about using evidence and second guessing our own presumptions to create meaningful dialogue, which goes towards developing opinions that have legs to stand on.

I found a special plugin for Firefox that screens all articles written by Canepa and changes their titles to “Don’t Bother to Read this Crap: It will make your head hurt”

It’s a really useful plugin!

Canepa never ceases to amaze.

He amazes with how illogical and poorly thought out his rants can be.

What, if anything, does the moves made by the Chargers who play a football have to do with trading Peavy, a BASEBALL player?

And what does letting free agents walk for large sums more money than they could have made here have to do with trading a top player in his prime for several young players that can fill several holes on the Padres immediately and make the team better in the long run?

Sadly, very seldom does Canepa make a cogent argument.
