If you think that he’d get a kick out of it, feel free to link him on over to this site. Not to put words in their mouths, but I’m sure those who run this site would appreciate more viewers – especially those that are talented writers for great sites like BP.

It’s nice to hear that major contributors to places like BP are so open to user comments/concerns.

Did you … or would you consider … putting this in an email to Joe @ BP? I’ve sent him feedback several times and always gotten a reply. I like him … I like his writing … and I think your comments are *right on*!!! … and so him getting your feedback will make him (and BP) better, imo.

If you don’t want to send him this feedback, mind if I do? (ie. I’ll send him your words, attributed … I don’t have the time nor talent to say these things .

but u said Kouz was one of the worst 3B which is kind of saying what BP was saying, which is a little hyprocratic. i just kinda noticed it a little

The D-Backs differential was usually explained by writers as a function of a high skill disparity in the relief core. Meaning they throw the game with crappy relievers when behind, and play their good guys to hold close leads.

This may be repeatable if quality relief returns in 2008. They’re not off to a good start in that department for sure.

I know exactly what you mean. Great post.

I love that everyone is all over the Joe Torre signing, when, by historical context, Torre has favored veterans. I was ecstatic when they signed him, because he will make the same mistakes that Little did.

And great points about the D-Backs. They significantly outplayed their ability and relied on career years from players who are unlikely to repeat (Byrnes and Hudson).

Great stuff overall.
