The only difference I see is that Ray advocated the sign and trade idea that's been floating around, where Oakland gave up a draft pick. Oakland's pick is also later in the second round than the Padres' would be, and with the season looking the way it is I think the draft selection has a lot more value for us. The signing does make Bobby Crosby "available", whatever that means for him. Yeah man way to be on the ball with that.
